About the York Priory

The York Priory was built in 1877. It has been owned and run by same family (Jacksons) for three generations. It opened as "The Priory Hotel" in 1930 and is now a traditional guesthouse.

The York Priory is ideally located in York city centre and suited to romantic weekends and shopping trips. The guesthouse has been recently refurbished to provide the facilities you would expect in a four star traditional guesthouse.

Our guesthouse specialises in large family rooms.

Our guesthouse could not be better located for easy access to the York City Centre, tourist attractions and host of lovely first class restaurants. An ideal base for overnight or a longer relaxing break.

In the garden there are Twin Gothic Arches which are an original, attractive 'Victorian Folly'. This is often fondly remembered by guests.
