Bookings

The management reserves the right to change your room without prior notice.
All rooms are subject to availability.
Rooms overlooking the gardens, or on the first floor or with a bath instead of a shower are on a 'first come first served basis'. Whilst we endeavour to fulfil all our customers requests, but circumstances beyond our control sometimes mean we cannot guarantee a room.
At time of booking there may be sever or upload faults which may result in rooms being displayed that are not available. When these occasions arise, the management reserves the right to offer an alternative room. No exact room is guaranteed.
Strictly no single Saturday night only bookings.
A credit card number is required to secure your booking.

Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10.30am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure.

Your accommodation is available to you from 2pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 9.30pm.

We do not except all female or all male stag & hen parties. The management reserves the right to refuse a booking
All reservations must be confirmed by telephone at least 48 hours before booking arrival date. A credit card number will secure your booking.

Prices

Prices are per person and per not room unless otherwise stated.
All prices are inclusive of breakfast unless stated.
Occasionally The Priory Hotel advertises with other organizations and tourist related publications. There is no guarantee that these publications advertise accurately and The Priory Hotel cannot accept liability of any kind arising from such publications and web sites.
Prices are believed to be correct at the time of publishing however The York Priory cannot accept liability of any kind for mistakes, errors and omissions of the part of the York Priory misleading prices.
Discounts will only offered on parties of 20 people or more.
All room rates are subject to change. Room rates may rise at Bank Holidays, Easter, and all Race Meetings.

Special Offer Breaks

Special breaks are subject to availability and never offered on ; .
1. Friday and Saturdays nights
2. Bank Holiday Weekends.
3. Race Meetings.
4. St Nicholas fare or Viking Festival.
5. Graduation.

Payments

We accept all major credit cards. A 3.35% extra charge for AMEX payments
No credit card payment for bills under £35
We do not accept personal or business cheques except by 3 weeks in advance payment.
We do not accept cheques over the cheque guarantee limit. No cheque will be accepted without cheque guarantee card.

Children Up To Age Of 14

We do accept children up to the age of 14. Over the age of 14 will be classed as an adult.
No children under the age of 14 are allowed in separate bedrooms on their own.
Children must be supervised at all times, no child must be left unsupervised.

Dogs

We do accept dogs but only by prior arrangement and subject to certain conditions. £10 per dog this is only for staying in the room and does not include food or bedding.

1. All dogs must provide own bedding
2. No untrained dogs must be left unsupervised in bedrooms. There will be charges for any damage incurred
3. Please respect the hotel and gardens and do not allow your dogs to foul. Please provide any cleaning up materials
4. All dogs must be kept on a lead whilst in the hotel s and grounds.
5. Dogs are not allowed in food serving areas

Cancellation Policy

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to 1 week before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling you will be liable for the total amount. For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.

Disclaimer

DAMAGES

Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge if you did not report this.

LIABILITY

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment

SMOKING POLCY

As from 1st July 2007 it will become illegal to smoke anywhere inside the hotel. All bedrooms and public areas are equipped with highly sensitive smoke alarms that indicate exactly place where the smoke is coming from. You may smoke outside in the gardens.

Your room will be available from 2pm on the day of arrival. However you may arrive earlier at the hotel if you wish to leave your car.
